My sweet girls love each other so much. When Haley talks, sings, or reads to Kendall, Kendall often watches Haley intently. When Kendall gets upset, Haley knows how to talk sweetly to her to try to comfort her ;)
The first few seconds of this video are priceless. Marynell got a great big sweet smile out of Kendall!
Over the past few weeks, Kendall has become so talkative! She is a sweet, happy baby. She shares lots of smiles with her family every day. She smiles at me nearly every time I get her out of her crib, even if she is crying when I go in to get her. She is truly a happy, sweet baby.
She sleeps through the night more often than not. We have pretty much established an 8:30 bedtime. She usually wakes up at 5 or 6, but she sometimes wakes up before then. When she does, she usually sleeps later.
Kendall seems to be settling into a great daily schedule. Here is a typical daily meal schedule. Her schedule definitely varies from day to day, depending on when she wakes up, but we are seeing some patterns.
Meal 1 6:00 AM
Meal 2 10:00 AM
Meal 3 2:00 PM
Meal 4 5:30 PM
Meal 5 8:00 PM
Kendall goes down for naps and bedtime very easily these days. I almost always put her down while she is still awake. If I get her down before she starts fussing, she usually goes to sleep on her own without crying at all. If I wait until she is fussing (and seemingly overtired), she sometimes cries for 5 or 10 minutes before going to sleep. We are still swaddling her. It's hard to get her swaddle blanket fastened, though. It's about time to go up a size;)
Kendall is usually awake for 1 - 2 hours before she is ready to go back down for a nap. In the morning, she is often only awake for an hour before she is ready to sleep again.
She's doing great!
