Kendall sleeps thru the night (8 or 10 PM to 5 AM) periodically - she will do it 2 or 3 nights in a row and then off for 2 or 3 nights. Kevin and I are definitely ready for her to sleep every night. Last night, though, she had her best night yet. She went down around 9, I think, and slept until 8 this morning. I'm guessing that the shots she had at the doctor yesterday afternoon contributed to her sleeping. She was not herself yesterday, and she fell asleep in her swing, in her kick and play, and in Kevin's lap - this isn't really like her.
Kendall often goes 4 hours between meals thruout most of the day, rather than the 2 1/2 to 3 hour spans that were typical not long ago. In the late afternoon and evening, her meals are still a little closer together. We still haven't settled into a regular bed time, but we're working on it.
As an infant, Haley went 4 hours between meals from the time she was less than a week old. She started sleeping thru the night about 3 nights before she turned 6 weeks old, and kept this up until she was 8 weeks old. Then, for about 10 days, she got up once during the night before returning to all night sleep.
Kendall is definitely a cuddler. She likes to be held up high on your shoulder so she can be close and still see what's going on around her. She also likes to be held in the middle of your chest - she will burrow in by rubbing her little face on your chest. She also, more and more, likes to be held in a sitting up position where she can see what's going on around her.
Kendall seems to recognize Haley. When she is awake and alert, she is very interested in what Haley is doing and saying. Haley often gets very close to Kendall and speaks or sings to her. Kendall turns her head to Haley and opens her mouth to show her interest. Haley says things like 'Hi, sweetie!' or 'Hi, sister!' When Kendall gets fussy, Haley may say 'It's ok, sister. Just take a little rest.' It's very cute. Haley still loves to hold Kendall.
Kendall rarely takes a pap (unlike baby Haley), and she doesn't spit up often (also unlike Haley). She naps plenty during the day. This is also unlike Haley, who didn't nap well during the day but who slept like a champ at night.
Kendall weighed in at 12 lb 8 oz at her 2 month checkup- this is just 5 oz less than Haley weighed at 4 months ;) Kendall's weight put her in the 97th percentile for two month olds. Kendall's height was 22 7/8 inches (about 75th percentile), and her head circumference was 15 (25th percentile). At 2 months old, Haley weighed 10 lb 15.5 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long.
Kendall got 1 immunization by mouth (roto virus) and 4 shots - DTAP, Hib, hepatitis B, and Pneumococcal Conjugate. I wonder how different the vaccination schedules will be when my girls have babies.
